Christian paused in the middle of the path that led into town and turned on his heel to stride back over to her, his hand grasping the back of her neck as his lips descended onto hers. It was a bold move but that was Christian Tait for you. He was never afraid to just take what he wanted. It was only a couple of seconds before he parted with heavy lidded eyes, Brooklyn's tiny nose wrinkling in disgust. "Now I'd like to see you whip out that bow on me." He murmured.

Rosaline stopped walking a few paces short of Christian, her hands already moving to a better grip on her bow, fingers reaching behind her head for an arrow in the quiver. All the while he was coming closer. The girl paused to see what he was going to do. The insistent kiss he provided certainly wasn't what she expected. The arm that had been going for an arrow wrapped around his neck as she pulled herself to him and his kiss.
It ended shortly after it started. Taking a few steps back, she reached back again for that arrow. In a flurry of motion, she had it on the string, pulling it back with thumb and forefinger, an unusual manner many found it hard to aim with. "Want to bet?" she asked him, hiding the smirk she wanted to show.

"Yeah, I'd like to make that bet." Christian replied with a smirk and a nod of his head. He picked up Brooklyn from Rosaline had released her to string her bow and continued on down the path. There was nothing in his posture that suggested any hint of fear of the arrow that was targeted on his back. She wasn't going to shoot him and it wasn't because he had Brooklyn with him. She wasn't going to harm after a kiss like that. If she wanted to scare him then she never should have responded. "Are you coming Rosa?"

Rosaline felt bad about putting the child down in order to have strung her bow, but it would teach this boy. She shifted the aim of her arrow to a tree beyond Christian. Sighting in on the target, her cheek and nose against the string of her bow for a better line, she released. The arrow was straight and true, whizzing past Christian's shoulder, the opposite side of his child, to land securely in the tree she'd targeted.
She dropped the bow to her side, holding it loosely as she trotted ahead of Christian to retrieve her arrow and return it to the quiver. "Are you sure you're ready for me?" Rosaline asked him, a wicked smirk on her lips.

Christian flinched to the side as an arrow came whizzing past his left shoulder to slam into a tree that was just a few paces ahead of him. He turned his head slightly to look back at the beautiful blond attacker, a smirk still lingering on his lips. "You are a fiery little one." He chuckled, nodding approvingly. "I like that.."

Rosaline could only laugh at the obvious flinch Christian let through. "And here I thought you weren't afraid of little ole' me and my arrows," she joked with him. She strode towards him until they stood toe to toe. Her free hand went to the back of his neck and she used it to pull him to her. Her lips found his in a show of want more than true affection.

"I'm not afraid. I knew that you weren't going to shoot me. I'm the cute single father that every woman desires.." Christian replied, looking for smug with himself. She put her hand on the back his neck and he stupidly released Brooklyn as he descended upon her lips for a second time, his hands finding their way to Rosa's back pockets as he tugged her up against him. "It's either that or you're trying to snag me with one of cupid's arrows."

Rosaline's eyes flew wide at the feel of Christian's hands in the back pockets of her jeans. It wasn't so much that she minded that, or being pulled so close to him. It was more of the maternal instinct kicking in again. "Cupid's arrow would mean you'd be too attached," she responded. "I don't get attached. And you just dropped your little girl." With that she pulled back and bent down, scooping Brooke into her arms and turning around, Christian at her side, ready to start heading out again.

Christian took a step back, a little of both confusion and shock appearing on his face. He hadn't realized that he had dropped Brooklyn until she mentioned it and now he felt terrible. He had never let a woman come in between them before. He took the tiny girl back into his arms, pressing a kiss to her cheek as a silent way for him to say he was sorry. "Whatever you say.." He mumbled.

Rosaline handed over the little girl willingly into her father's arms. For a moment she just stood there watching him give his silent apologies before leaning over to give both father and daughter a hug. "I can see you're a wonderful father, Mister Christian," she whispered into his ear before pressing a kiss to his cheek in her own apologies for being the cause of his forgetfulness.

Brooklyn was oddly silent through all of this though from the look on her face Christian could tell that she wasn't happy. If Rosaline wasn't here then she would have blown up on him by now. Sure it would mostly be just babbles but they would be angry babbles. He ignored the kiss to his cheek this time for he knew that he couldn't afford another distraction until he had his Princess tucked safely in bed. "I really should get her home." He stated as they reached the town. "You said that you wanted to go pick up a few things. But well..if you still want to come over when you are done my apartment is just down the street there.." He pointed towards an older looking building in the distance.

Rosaline didn't say anything for the rest of their walk to town. It emerged, along with a frown on her face. The place wasn't at all what she'd expected, though if asked she couldn't say what it was she had thought it would be like. The place had an almost neglected feel to it, even if it was obvious there was a constant upkeep to it.
The girl looked down the street towards where Christian had pointed. "I'll find you there when I'm finished," she assured him. With that Rosaline went off towards the town and the shops, in need of some new clothes and other essentials.

It didn't take long after parting with Rosaline for Christian to make it home. His original plan had been to make a large supper for the three of them, that is if Rose decided to come, but from the looks of Brooklyn he knew that she had only a few more minutes left in her before she fell into unconsciousness. It had been a long day and he knew he shouldn't have had out in such weather. So he fed her a quick snack and dressed her in her warmest pajama's, tucking her snuggly in bed with a sippy cup of juice. "Sweet dreams Princess.." He murmured, kissing her forehead.
"Sweet sleep Daddy.."

The shops were in better condition than they'd looked from the outside. Inside the first, Rosaline paid a few coins for some new clothes, and used the fitting room to change into them once she owned them. At the second she picked up some bathroom supplies for herself. From there she picked up a small stuffed animal from a third store. It was a dog with floppy ears and a short tail.
Having all she needed, Rosaline returned to the place where she and Christian had parted to see where his building was again. A small smile, a genuine smile, crept upon her features as she took off down the road to him.

Christian sat there on the edge of the bed, his hand in Brooke's tiny one, until her eyelids fluttered closed. He shouldn't have kept her out so long, she was going to get sick from having spent the entire day standing out in the cold rain. He got out another blanket from the closet and draped it over the tiny lump on the bed to make sure she would be warm enough for the night, and then went in the next room to sprawl himself across the couch. To be honest he didn't expect Rosaline to show up. They had just met and she had already pulled a bow and arrow on him, she was probably going to use this chance to get as far away from him as possible. He left the front door unlocked just in case.

Rosaline walked until she stepped in the shadows of that building she'd been told to go to. She'd found where Christian lived. The steps to the door were short, her knock on the door rather soft. She wondered if he'd hear it. Normally if she were home, she'd have walked in. Then again, most people back home knew who she was. Here she didn't dream of doing such a thing. Too unladylike for this new place.

Christian didn't answer the knock right away. For one he was very comfortable where he was on the sofa and two, he still didn't think that she was going to come. The knock was probably just a trick of his mind. Maybe today had really just been a strange but oh so wonderful dream. Girls like Rosaline couldn't possibly exist. Did Christian Tait have a crush? Impossible.

Rosaline frowned. Had he heard her knocking? She tried again, a little harder, a little louder, this time. Surely he had to hear her knocking. But what if he just didn't want her to be there? What if he just planned to ignore her until she went away?

The knocking became louder and more insistent and although it was a sound the Christian wanted to hear he still groaned as he made to roll off of the sofa and cross the room to the door. When he opened it he still couldn't tell if he were dreaming or not. "The door was unlocked so why didn't you just come in?" He asked.

Rosaline raised a brow at him when he answered the door. "One. How was I to know it was unlocked? And two. Just walking into a man's home isn't something a proper lady does," she answered his question, a hint of sarcasm to her tone. She leaned against the door frame, watching him for a moment, a small smile lifting her features. "Am I invited in or no?"
