Rosaline lay back on the bench, her eyes glazing over as she stared up at the sky. The rain was nearly over, having reduced to a light drizzle almost as quickly as it had started. "We'll be able to go out soon, do you think?" Her voice was soft with the rocking of the waves. Her eyes began to close and she was beginning to enjoy the movement of the boat. It was the first relaxing moment she'd had in a long time. Christian's voice kept her in the present and she tilted her head, eyes opening, to look at him. "I had to get away from those people. My foster parents are wonderful and all, but they understand little. I got the boat and this is where I landed."

Brooklyn was content enough to play on her own in a small puddle that had collected in the bottom of the boat. This left Christian free to gaze at Rosaline as she stretched herself out across the bench. She was both quite beautiful and sexy. He didn't understand the swarm of butterflies in his stomach. He had been with many women in his lifetime and he could have them with a single snap of his fingers, so why was this one different? He nodded his head in agreement as he absently rubbed at his stomach through his coat.
"So you came to this island for an escape?" He asked. "Many people have been known to do the same. It's a good place to lose yourself in.."

Rosaline shook her head very quickly. "I came here because something brought me here, but it wasn't a search for an escape. My parents don't understand the principles on which I live. It was time to leave in order to live my life and not theirs," she explained. As she spoke her eyes wandered from Christian, to Brooklyn, the sky, and then the sea. Turning back to Christian she chuckled at the hand he was rubbing his stomach with. "Hungry?"
((sorry... its not the greatest))

Christian wasn't going to argue with her. There were many different reasons as to why someone would come to this island and quite frankly he couldn't even remember how he and Addy had came to be here. He shoved his fists into the front pockets of his coat. That must be the reason for the strange feeling, hunger. It seemed simple enough. "I guess so.." He shrugged.

Rosaline pointed a finger to where she had left her bag. "I don't have much right now, but I have a few rations of some stuff still in there if you want," she offered him. Though she wouldn't be surprised if he refused the food. It was meant to last her the length of the boat ride so most of the food now was dried in preparation for the end of her trip, and the spices covering it to keep it fresh, even when dried that was, gave it a rather unappealing taste.

Christian glanced in the direction that she had pointed and wrinkled his nose in disgust, shaking his head no. "I bet you are sick of those rations.." He murmured mostly to himself as he considered his options. He highly doubted that she would agree but it was worth a try. "If you want I could make you and Brooklyn a proper supper later? Unless you have somewhere else you have to be? You could think of it as a welcome to the island meal.." He laughed weakly as the heat rose into his cheeks.

Rosaline laughed, her nose wrinkling to match his. "You have absolutely no idea how sick of those I am," she agreed. "But when you're out there in the sea and its all you have, you really start not caring what it is you're eating." The girl sat up quickly, the boat rocking harshly to one side as she did so. "I cannot let you cook for me," she stated quickly. To his second question she shook her head in a quick no.

Christian quickly scooped up a disgruntled Brooklyn into his arms as the boat began rocking back and forth harshly. His face going from a light pink to a deep red as he nodded his head in understanding, looking away from Rosaline. He knew that he shouldn't have asked.
(sorry it sucks)

Rosaline looked away from Christian and down to her hands as he took his little girl into his arms. Her hands were shaking, if only slightly, and she couldn't figure out why. A confused look on her face, she glanced back up at Christian. "But I... I'd love it if I could... could help make dinner," she stammered through the sentence.

Christian couldn't hold back his chuckle when she stammered. It made her seem all the more perfect, more real and not some hallucination. "Alright, I'll help.." He nodded with that charming smile of his. "Do you mind if we go now? Brookie needs some dry clothes. It doesn't look like boating was the best idea for today. I'll take her out again some other time."

((It's been a frightfully long time since I've posted here. Sorry...))
Rosaline agreed rather quickly. She'd been on a boat for so long now, and she didn't mind the idea of a change from sea to land. "Perhaps you could point the way to town first for me? I've a few coins left and I'll need some dry clothes to change to. Then I could meet you at your house?" The girl said all this as she gathered her things and set them on the dock, clambering up to join them. Almost immediately she turned around, sitting with her legs over the edge towards the boat, and arms held out for Christian's little girl. It would probably be easier for him to climb out himself if he didn't have to hold his daughter while doing so.

Candra bit her lip as the boat rocked with the waves. The sea had been peaceful earlier, but now the sky had darkened, and the waves were restless. Candra gripped her hands together. "Was this an omen?" She thought. Her stomach knot it's self tighter. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Everything was going to be ok. She winced at the pain in her chest. It was growing stronger, the closer they got to the island. She opened her eyes and looked over the railing to the island..... Her new home.

Christian quickly nodded his head in agreement. He would agree to anything if it meant that he could spend even just a little bit more time with her. He still wasn't quite sure if this wasn't some sort of dream. He picked up Brooklyn and passed her over into Rosaline's outstretched arms. The tiny girl didn't protest but he could tell that she was upset about having to leave the boat behind. It wasn't until he had climbed onto the dock himself that he noticed another boat heading their way carrying yet another young girl. What was with this place?

Rosaline's arms wrapped protectively around Brooklyn as her father placed the small child in her arms. She could understand the longing for the boat in the girl's eyes, but she was surprised no sound of anger or sadness at leaving came from her. When Christian joined them on the dock, she stood and slung her things over her shoulder, careful not to hit Brooke with anything. It was then that she noticed her host's gaze was towards the water, and another boat. Rosaline couldn't understand why she had a sudden need to draw closer to Christian, why she found tinges of disappointment in her stomach as he looked on to this new girl.

Christian continued to stare at this new girl for just a little while longer. She didn't hold the same attraction to him as Rosaline had, but then again this beautiful blond had ruined his chances of ever finding someone he was more attracted to. And the sea, it was like a factory with the way it kept producing these women. Maybe if he waited around here often he would have several babies momma's. Nah, he couldn't do that to Brooklyn.
It was several very long minutes before Christian's gaze finally returned to the angel at his side and he took her bags to sling them over his own shoulder. Resting his hand on the small of her back to guide her. "You're jealous.." He smirked. "Let's go.."

Rosaline frowned when Christian took her things. Her hands felt empty and her shoulder wasn't properly weighted down now. She wasn't used to people carrying her things. Still, she kept her quivver straped securely to her back and her bow at her side, unstrung at the moment with lack of need. The frown didn't move when Chris commented on her 'being jealous.' "I've nothing to be jealous of," she countered, even as she let him guide her away by his hand on her back.

It was a trade really. Christian would carry the bags if she would carry the child since Brooklyn couldn't be trusted to walk on her own. Though small she could be very fast at times. He glanced back over his shoulder at the girl in the boat and then back again, his smirk deepening. "Sure you don't." He chuckled under his breath.

Rosaline scowled at the boy as they walked. The boat she'd left behind was bobbing in the waves and she suddenly doubted if it would be there when she returned. Not that it mattered. It didn't seem likely at all that she was going to leave this island for a while. There were too many nooks and crannies she needed to explore before being on her merry way. "Of course I don't," she responded. "I have no attachment, so why, then, should I have a problem with you taking interest in her?"

"Believe what ever you wish Miss Levarette." Christian shrugged, flashing her a charming smile before taking off just a few paces ahead of her and adjusting the bag on his shoulder. "If you didn't have an attachment then why would you ever agree to come home with a guy you literally just met?"

"One, the bow at my side which I can string and easily use on you," she retorted. "Two, the fact that you have a child, so you're not one to harm anyways. And three, I need a meal and a way into town." Her reasoning was simple. Besides, the pleading look in his eyes had been all too cute and if she could, she'd laugh at it. Manners held her back.
