Amandine had felt an inexplicable pull towards the forest since she first arrived at the school, and now after a couple of weeks she was finally letting her curiosity get the better of her. She had been walking through the undergrowth for about 15 minutes, in the direction that her instincts were taking her, when she saw ahead of her, a space where the trees weren't quite so thick. Smiling she ducked under a low hanging branch that was in her way and was soon entering a clearing. She moved into the middle of the space and looked around her, and suddenly realised that the banks of earth had windows in them, and doors, and that some of them were connceted to trees, they looked like they had been there forever. Suddenly she felt a sense of satisfaction, which could only mean she was in the right place.
She turned slowly on the spot, looking at all the buildings, they must have been homes, she didn't think the forest mages lived up trees, and they had been here for ages too.
"Hello?" she said nervously into the quiet of the clearing. "Is anyone there?"
