Creatures of the Forest

Madnesshound: The Madnesshounds, despite their name, have very little in common in a visual sense to their canine counterparts. Their size is similar to a large adult deer and their body shares it's slender build. This is the full extent of the common features between the two.
This creature is a vicious semi-humanoid. It has been described by the few who have survived sighting it as a horrifying cross between man and reptile, and something else to disturbing to mention. It's skin is a translucent, slick epidermis that has similar qualities to scales. Beneath that unusual skin is taught with muscles which seem at odds with its thin build
The creature is of an intelligence on par with that of humans. This coupled with its excessive strength and sharp, strong jaw makes it a formidable opponent.

Abura-sumashi: This odd, squat creature is said to be the spirit of a man who once stole from the forest mages. As a result, once he died, he was cursed to spend his time protecting one of the lesser known paths of the forest. He is recognised by his straw-coat covered body and stone-like head. His skin is a rich, blue hue.
Abura is known to be bitter about his fate, and often tricks wayward travelers that meet him upon their journey.

Creatures of the Forest
Agta: The Agata, or Kapre is a large 'tree demon' with human characteristics. It is 7-8ft, dark skinned and covered in a thick coat of fur. They are most often male, and are usually seen with a pipe or cigar.[/color]
Although they look alarming, they are friendly creatures. They are usually quite shy, but when befriended, loyal and protective.
Tiamat: The Tiamat is a large five head draconic reptile. It is a secretive creature that rarely leaves the safety and darkness of its cave.
It is easily angered and vicious when disturbed. Students are warned away from the area, as many a curious person has entered the cave and not returned.
Despite all this, the Tiamat is trusted not to hunt the the townspeople as it mostly feeds on large forest animals that venture too close to the cave mouth.
It is said that each of tits heads represent an element and a different aspect of its personality;
