Zahi stood in the middle of a ring of dead logs, his bare toes semi buried in the fragrant leaf-litter that coated the forest floor. His long red hair masked his face, hid the blue-green tinge of his skin and the peaks of his ears. He smiled, feeling the forest breathe around him.
It told him that people were approaching. Students no doubt.
Zahi had taught Transformation to the willing students of the Academy for several years. For the past couple of years, few had succeeded with their training, but he felt that this year would be different. Hearing a distinct rustling, he lifted his eyes (now a bright green-yellow) to the approaching sound.

Jacob walked slowly through the forest. This was one of the classes that he had been looking forward to. Transformation. He walked on through the forest following the scent of what he knew from rumours was a forest mage who taught the subject. He took a sharp turn at a huge tree and walked straight again. Then he saw him in the middle of the clearing his hair long and hiding his face. Jacob walked over to him. "morning sir how are you this morning" he asked in his soft but excited voice.

Transformation. A difficult class she expected. As she walked through the forest, the light filtering down in oddly shaped patterns through the the canopy above, she couldn't help the smirk. Rosaline had always loved a challenge, and had yet to fail at completing one. She didn't plan for this to be any different. The light that hit down would shine off the silky texture of her shirt and made the silver shine in awkward splotches. Her toes sank into the soft grass beneath her bare feet. She was in the forest, why would she wear shoes when she could feel the earth?
Rosaline found herself the second student to arrive. This was a becoming a bad habit of hers. She was arriving earlier and earlier to her classes. She gave a tight nod hello to the professor and the other student there before sinking to the ground, her back against the trunk of a tree. Her eyes closed softly and her toes sank back into the earth along with her fingers and palms. The earth was home to her, not those closed in walls of the school.

Jacob smiled at the girl she was quite beautiful. He walked over and sat next to her letting the earth touch his hands and feet. He turned to her. "hi im jacob im pleased to meet your aqquatence" he said hoping it had not sounded to old fashioned after all jacobs was still stuck in the olden times when his generation had lived.

Leon was running to his class hoping he wasn't late. When he had two students in sight he ran faster and in a couple of seconds he was beside the students. Hope i'm not late he thought to himself as he stood there thinking he was in extreme trouble. "Hey jacob i didn't know that you were in our class too."

He studied the children as they arrived and assembled themselves in the clearing. 'Please, take a seat' He looked at each of them in turn, his eyes shifting to a dull, glowing orange.
'None of you have taken this class before...' His voice was soft, like the rustling of leaves 'You are probably unaware of the effort required. Some of you, I believe, are even unaware of what this class entails.' He looked at them, as if enquiring if this was so.

"Don't be so quick to judge..." C.C said soflty, from high up. Her small form curled up on a branch. Her green hair fanned around her form, as she uncurled herself and let her legs dangle. Sure, she wasn't exactly in the clearing, but her voice could still be heard. The tree she sat on was on the edge of the clearing. Curving in, towards the others sitting. C.C let her warm, honey coloured eyes roam over Master Zahi's form. She had taken this class before. She knew how to transform and elongate her scapula bones on her back. Make it into a representation of wing bones. She just didn't know how to put feathers on those wings. Therefore, she couldn't actually use them.
Then again, it would be her own fault she had not learned that yet. She had ditched her classes, spending more time in the rough patch than at school. Besides, she didn't expect this teacher to recognize her. He spend all his time in the forest, it was a wonder he still knew how to socialize with the students.
Smirking, C.C didn't move from her spot. Preferring the distance she had from the mage, and the others. She had a little problem with the Magus, and anyone of them could be one. Mages weren't so bad, and this class seemed to have a lot of vampires. All in all, C.C was going to stay this time around. No more skipping classes, but she still wasn't going to give up causing a little trouble.
"I know a thing or two... But please continue Master Zahi." C.C said, curving her lips in to a smile. Her eyes shinning. She may have done this before, but she was no expert. Not yet anyway.

Jacob smiled up at her. She was a vampire no doubt about that but she was so elegant and beautiful. He got up and jumped from branch to branch until he was at the same level as her before swinging to sit on the branch next to her. "hi im jacob hope you dont mind if i join you but i would rather much be up here then down there" he said smiling.

Zahi sighed as he looked up at the girl. 'C.C, you've decided to join us. I wonder, will you be sticking around this year?' He met her eyes, his face blank. The orange of his eyes flickered, but did not change.
'Perhaps you would like to come down here? Show the new students what can be done?' He remembered C.C from previous years. If she hadn't missed so many classes then he would be able to say with all confidence that she was his best student. It had taken her surprisingly little time to pick up the required techniques, but he thought that she was most likely unaware of this.
'You' Zahi said sternly to the boy who had climbed into the tree to join her 'Down, now. You will learn to respect this forest before you go climbing through it'

Jacob looked down at zahi. "okay sir ill be there soon" he said turning to the girl, "ill talk to you later, if you want". He jumped down and landed lightly on his feet. "sorry sir please continue" he apologised sitting back down and looking up at the girl who the teacher had called c.c.

C.C laughed, it was a soft and warm laugh. Dieing out as soon as it started. "Of course, that is, if it remains entertaining." C.C replied, meeting her eyes with his, briefly. She nodded towards Jacob, amused by him. As she too, pushed herself off the branch and dropped. Her green hair flying up before she landed, gracefully on the ground. Her knees slightly bent, as her hair dropped and she straightened herself out.
Taking a quick look around, C.C walked towards the students and Master Zahi. With each step that didn't seem to bother the ground. Feature light with each touch. Gathering up the mental image of the skeleton wings she could form. Among other small basics. Then she gazed back at Zahi.
"I could... But I'm afraid that's your job." C.C replied, keeping the amused smile from her face. While taking a seat not to far from Jacob. Besides, did he really think she would rip her shirt? Not that she would mind, but she really thought it too early to let everyone know her like that. Even if she was temped. Maybe if Zahi showed a smile she would, but C.C knew he could remain like that for hours, days. As if he didn't know how to smile anymore.

Jacob smiled at c.c. She was quite a funny and interesting vampire. Then with a small wink in her direction he looked up at Master Zahi ready to learn some sort of transformation. HE was looking forward to this class espically as it was the one class where you transformed your body but also because it was outside.

((sorry! I've been a busy girl...))
Rosaline opened her eyes again when the other boy that was there spoke to her. "Rosaline," she introduced herself. She returned to her quiet state when the other boy showed up, offering him only a nod as she had been doing before. Her eyes closed again, only for her to pop them open once more as the professor's voice reached her. She didn't return a comment to his, but the slight tightening of the muscles in her jaw tightened. This challenge was just the latest of them.
Her brow raised at the act the girl in the tree was putting on. It was more annoying than anything when Jacob climbed up to join her. "It is your class, Master Zahi," she commented, her voice smooth and somewhat uninterested.

Surprisingly, Zahi chuckled. 'That is unlike you C.C. Usually you strive to be the center of attention. Well, if you do not so wish to be...' He looked at her, smiling.
He turned to the other students. 'In this class you will learn to transform and mutate your body. You will choose a form, and work towards becoming it. It is possible, through a lifetime's study to learn to take on many forms. Most students however struggle to complete their first. This is not an easy subject to undertake. It requires dedication and hard work. Most of you will find that you will not be able take on the full form that you have choosen, but only parts of it, much like C.C here.'
He pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it aside, revealing his naked chest and torso. His blue-green skin seemed to ripple with the shadows that moved over it. 'Now, I will demonstrate to you what is possible after much training. I would have preffered C.C to show you what she has acheived, as it is a more realistic goal for you to look to. But perhaps eventually you will be able to do the same as I am about to show you.'
He closed his eyes and his face reflected intense concentration. After a few moments a soft rustle could be heard. His bones had elongated, stretched to form the framework of wings. Now magnificent saphire coloured feathers sprouted and ruffled against one another. The wings, which he fully outstretched, were twice his height on either side. 'I believe this is what you were looking forward to C.C?'
He flicked the wings once, and they dissappeared, melting seamlessly back into his body. He closed his eyes once again, though for a shorter period of time than before. In moments a soft layer of short, golden fur could be seen, coating his chest and back. 'Of course this is not as easy as I make it seem' Zahi said, his expression serious 'But you will learn that for yourself soon enough'

Jacob smiled as he watched master Zahi change his body so that there was fur and wings. He clapped his hands softly. Then he was silent eager to learn how to do it. "sir what shall we be doing today" he asked wanting to know what they were transforming.

"That was amazing sir so when are we learning that" Leon said with an amazed look apon his face like he had just seen a ghost. "um sir how long will it take just to learn one transformation?" Leon said curiously looking at all the other students thinking he was definetely different from them.

C.C gazed almost longingly at the wings, complete with feathers sticking out of Zahi's back. She couldn't quiet get hers that far. C.C had tried, all she got was a pathetic excuse for feathers. No, she would not 'show off' her skeleton wings. There was no use, not how she saw it anyhow. Everyone else would have their own set soon enough, if they chose to transform that part of their body.
C.C didn't say anything, seemingly turned mute as she decided to listen and watch.

Zahi turned to face the boy. He looked at him blankly for a moment before answering. "You, today, shall be deciding on which animal, or animal feature you would like to acheive. You should base this decision on two things. First, you should consider a form that you find interesting, appealing. Second, you should consider your strengths and weaknesses. It is essential that you play to your strengths in order to heighten your chances of a complete transformation."
He turned away and looked over the class, letting his eyes pause on C.C for a little longer than the rest, the slightest frown on his pale lips. "Who would like to tell the class what form interests you the most, and why you think it is right for you?"

Amandine ran down the path towards the direction from which she could hear voices, she was late but hopefully the teacher wouldn't mind too much. She had been looking forward to this class so much, it was different to anything she had done before and her mother had suggested she might try it. She arrived in the clearing slightly out of breath, and Saw the teacher shirtless and covered in short golden fur. Her eyes widened as she took in the sight.
"Sorry I'm late Master Zahi, I got lost." she said as she sat down next to a girl with green hair.
